Sales Team Coaching & Training

Most sales teams don't have a sales problem. They have a sales system problem.

In many growing businesses, sales processes evolve organically, with each salesperson developing their own way of managing opportunities, follow-ups happening inconsistently, and pipeline visibility becoming increasingly unclear.

Over time this leads to inconsistent performance, missed opportunities, unreliable forecasting, and limited visibility for leadership. Sales teams end up relying more on instinct than structure.

The reality is that strong sales performance rarely comes from individual talent alone – it comes from a well-designed sales system that creates clarity, consistency, and accountability across the entire team.

Business doesn’t need to be unnecessarily complicated. In fact, if you think about it there are only really three key functions: getting the work, doing the work and getting the money. Over the years we’ve found that the best results usually come from asking simple questions, challenging assumptions and building practical solutions that people will actually use.

Whether we’re developing a sales system, coaching a sales team or managing an organisation’s marketing programme, our approach remains the same: We take the time to understand your business and your customers before making recommendations.

From there, we develop a practical plan, put it into action, measure what happens and continually refine it as we learn what works.

It’s common sense, backed by experience and data.

We make marketing and sales work in unison.

Many businesses treat marketing and sales as separate functions. We don’t.
Marketing should create quality opportunities. Sales should convert those opportunities into profitable customers.

When both teams understand the same objectives, use the same language and work from the same strategy, the entire business performs better. When both teams understand the same objectives, use the same language and work from the same strategy, the entire business performs better.

Sometimes we’ll redesign a sales process. Sometimes we’ll coach a sales team. Sometimes we’ll become a business’s outsourced marketing department. More often than not, we do all three.

Think of us as your partner in growth

We believe the best work happens when relationships are built over time.
Rather than delivering a project and moving on, we prefer to work alongside our clients, continually refining strategies, measuring performance and identifying new opportunities for growth.

That means taking the time to understand your business, your customers and your goals as if they were our own. Because the better we understand your business, the better we can help it grow.

Sometimes we’ll redesign a sales process. Sometimes we’ll coach a sales team. Sometimes we’ll become a business’s outsourced marketing department. More often than not, we do all three.

Practical Experience

Our advice isn’t built on theory alone. Our team has worked alongside (and in) privately owned businesses across a wide range of industries, helping improve sales performance, strengthen brands and implement practical marketing and sales systems that deliver measurable outcomes.

Whether you’re looking to improve lead generation, increase conversion rates, develop your sales team, or align your marketing and sales efforts, we bring practical experience, strategic thinking and hands-on execution together under one roof.

What our client’s about us

Our “no marketing nonsense” Promise

We’ve heard it before…”most marketers sell smoke and mirrors”  the truth is we’ve never really liked those marketing types.

We aren’t about long lunches and lattes over here. We won’t recommend something because it’s fashionable. We won’t suggest marketing channels that don’t fit your business and we won’t over complicate simple problems.

Instead, we’ll ask the right questions, provide honest advice (that’s right, we’ll tell you the truth even if it’s not what you want to hear) and work alongside you to build practical solutions that support sustainable business growth.

Because at the end of the day, that’s what matters. Helping good businesses become even better.

Steffan Hudson

Managing Director

Steffan Hudson has spent almost 20 years helping businesses across New Zealand, Australia and the United States grow through better marketing, stronger sales systems and practical commercial strategy.

With a Bachelor of Management Studies, majoring in Marketing, Steffan combines formal training with extensive real-world business experience. Alongside his work with Holloways, he also owns and operates a swimming pool construction business, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges business owners face every day. His advice isn’t built on theory alone, it’s shaped by the same commercial decisions, sales targets and growth challenges his clients experience.

Steffan is a passionate sales trainer with a particular interest in the psychology of buyer behaviour. He enjoys understanding why customers buy, what influences their decisions and how businesses can create sales and marketing systems that make buying feel simple and natural.

Known for cutting through complexity, Steffan has a knack for uncovering practical growth opportunities that others often overlook. Whether it’s improving a sales process, refining a marketing strategy or helping a leadership team think differently, his focus is always on finding straightforward solutions that deliver measurable results.

One of the things Steffan enjoys most is helping businesses achieve more with the resources they already have. If he can cut your marketing spend he will!  He believes some of the best marketing doesn’t come from the biggest budgets, but from asking the right questions, understanding your customers and executing consistently.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find Steffan spending time with his family, working on one of his businesses or searching for the next simple idea that can help a client grow.
